Haji Abdul Razak was appointed as the Chairman effective from 1 July 2019. Prior to this, he was Chief Executive of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore from August 2013 and retired in December 2018 after 43 years in the public service. As a Chief Executive, he was also appointed as a member of the Islamic Religious Council.
His past appointments were in the Syariah Court and the Community Relations Unit for the then Ministry of Community Development and Sports. Haji Abdul Razak also served as a Director on Mendaki Board from 2013-2018 and is a member of the Singapore Institute of Directors.
He currently serves in the panel of advisors to the Youth Court, and the Pioneer and Merdeka Generations Appeal panel. He is a Justice of Peace and is in the Board of Visiting Justices and Board of Inspectors to Prisons and Detention Centres. Concurrently, he also serves as the Chairman of the RLAF Foundation and the Mendaki ETF Committee. Haji Razak was awarded the prestigious Public Service Administration Silver Medal in 2015.
Dr Ab Razak Chanbasha is currently the Technical Director and founder of ARC Sciences, a company that supports nanoscience research. He has participated actively in the community and served in various committees in his social engagement. He has served in the executive committee of the Muslim Converts Association of Singapore, as a director in the Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP Singapore) and its subsidiary companies, MERCU and RIMA, and a council member at Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (Muis).
He is also an author of a book published by the Centre for Research on Islamic and Malay Affairs (Rima) titled “Indian Muslims In Singapore: History, Heritage And Contributions”, which documents the history, heritage and contributions of the community. Dr Razak was also conferred the Jasa Cemerlang Award by Muis in 2022.
Amran is a seasoned finance professional in the private equity, investment and venture capital markets. He is currently a General Partner with Hassan.VC, Director of Ethis Global Sdn Bhd and Director of BlueRock Ventures Sdn Bhd. He was the former CEO of SBI Islamic Fund in Brunei, former CEO of Al Hidayah Investment Bank and was also previously a partner with Gobi Partners.
Amran is an active member of the community. He was an Honorary Treasurer for Regional Islamic Da’wah Council of Southeast Asia & the Pacific (RISEAP) for 15 years, and is currently a member of the Mendaki ETF Committee.
Hj Sallim Abdul Kadir is a seasoned HR professional and was formally the HR Director for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for more than 20 years. He subsequently worked as the Director of Corporate Training with the Singapore Training & Development Association and was also the HR and Operations Director of an SME. He is currently an independent non-executive Board member of SD Guthrie International Ltd.
Hj Sallim is also an active member of the community and has served as a Muis Council Member and is currently in the Board of Mendaki. He was also in the Board and Committee of several Ministries including MCCY, Mindef, MSF and MHA. He currently serves as a Board member of several healthcare institutions such as Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore and Caregivers Alliance.
Hj Sallim is a Justice of Peace and was conferred the Public Service Medal in 2013 and the prestigious Public Star Award in 2018. He was also the recipient of the Jasa Cemerlang Award by Muis in 2021.
Siti is a registered architect with the Singapore Board of Architects since 1989. She was formerly an Associate Director with Architects 61 Pte Ltd for more than 20 years.
Suhaimi is the CEO of Quantedge Capital, an investment management firm that has garnered numerous international awards and accolades. Prior to that, Suhaimi was a banking & finance partner at the preeminent Singapore law firm of Allen & Gledhill LLP.
He contributes as a board member on the boards of a number of Singapore statutory boards and agencies, and non-profit organizations, such as NVPC, Esplanade, Kidstart, WWF-Singapore and Access-Sg, each of which addresses matters and causes close to his heart.
